“TODGARH”
is a land of contrast with river, valleys, dense forests and sandy plains overlooking by hill tracks of Rajsamand. Biritish Colonel James Tod once visited this place in Ajmer district and he was so
enchanted by the aura and scenic bauty of this place that he founded a small village. He built a church, jail, post office and other buildings.
One of his residence building converted into Jain temple known as Pragya Shikhar. This village is named after Colonel Jamed Tod by the British's as “TODGARH”. In 1983 this area was declared as Wildlife Sanctuary by the Government.
